Perform assay preparation and analysis with SGS at Artemis Gold’s Blackwater Assay Lab on a permanent rotating schedule of two weeks in, two weeks out.
This Onsite Laboratory Technician supports Digestion, Instrumentation, Fire Assay, and Sample Reduction/Preparation departments. Under Supervisor or Senior Assayer direction, you will follow written instructions while completing routine testing, sample preparation, and analysis. The position supports quality, safety, and accurate laboratory records.
Key Responsibilities: Receive, identify, prepare, weigh, and catalogue samples
Complete fire assay, digestion, dilutions, and determinations
Log samples accurately and promptly in LIMS
Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration records




Prepare standards, reagents, batches, and quality controls
Requirements: Post-secondary science education is a strong asset
Robust analytical, mechanical, and hand-eye coordination skills
Ability to follow instructions safely, accurately, and promptly
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Availability for extended hours and shift work
Apply analytical, mechanical, and LIMS skills to support accurate assay testing at SGS’s Blackwater laboratory.
