Maintain municipal housing properties in Wallaceburg through building repairs, grounds maintenance, and HVAC inspections. This is permanent, full time, on-site work.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent seeks a Building Maintenance employee for Housing Assets within Parks, Recreation and Facilities. The work supports safe operations at Public Housing Southcourt and Westcourt. Duties include plumbing, electrical, equipment repairs, tenant requests, contractor coordination, and security checks.
Key Responsibilities: Complete grounds maintenance, minor repairs, refuse removal, and snow removal
Inspect HVAC and building automation systems daily
Respond to tenant maintenance requests and lockouts
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC contractors




Record security checks, incidents, and required logbook entries
Requirements: Secondary school diploma or equivalent education
Building maintenance environment experience
Experience troubleshooting equipment and completing building repairs
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and computer skills
Valid Class G or higher Ontario driver’s licence
