Lead relational security operations for Interior Health in Kelowna, supervising assigned staff and maintaining safe healthcare environments on a permanent part time basis.
As Relational Security Supervisor, you will work under the Coordinator, Relational Security Operations, while communicating with on-call leadership when required. The position combines staff direction, security procedures, emergency response, incident documentation, and support for patients, staff, and the public. You will help ensure departmental policies are followed during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise staff, provide direction, and call in relief personnel
Patrol buildings and grounds using surveillance and monitoring systems
Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and challenging patient behavior




Provide escorts and security support for patients and staff
Maintain logs, reports, metrics, and shift handovers
Requirements: Experience in relational security supervision and healthcare settings
Ability to enforce security procedures and identify hazards
Ability to use access control, CCTV, and security systems
Ability to document incidents and prepare detailed reports
Ability to communicate with on-call leadership after hours
Apply relational security leadership, emergency response, and reporting skills to support Interior Health patients, staff, and facilities.
