The Medical Laboratory Technologist supports Pathology and Laboratory services while providing technical expertise and leadership. Responsibilities cover assigned procedures, workload completion, equipment maintenance, documentation, education, and quality improvement. Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario is required.
Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory procedures within assigned disciplines and functions
Complete assigned workload and document procedures and test results
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas
Participate in education, teaching, safety,



and quality improvement programs
Review policies and suggest required procedural improvements
Requirements: General Medical Laboratory Technology certification from recognized post-secondary institute
Current CMLTO registration in areas of responsibility required
Knowledge of applicable laboratory procedures, theory, and equipment
Strong communication, organizational, conflict resolution, and change management skills
Meditech, Laboratory Information Systems, and MS Office proficiency
Bring hematology capability, equipment expertise, and quality improvement focus to Core Laboratory services at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
