Advance rental productions and support visiting companies as Assistant Technical Director at Confederation Centre of the Arts. Work from Charlottetown across varied events.
This position makes you the first technical contact for rental clients and presented companies during the rental season. You will assess riders, drawings, and schedules, identify conflicts, and coordinate requirements with Production and Centre departments. During the summer Charlottetown Festival, you will assist repertory coordination and stage operations while contributing technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Assess incoming production requirements for feasibility and conflicts
Prepare advance documents, labour estimates, and rental quotes
Conduct facility and safety orientations for visiting companies




Assist Technical Director with repertory season coordination
Contribute solutions during design and production meetings
Requirements: At least three years’ technical theatre or live event experience
Ability to read technical riders and drawings
Knowledge of stage lighting, audio, video, and rigging systems
Clear skilled communication and client-focused service
Commitment to safety, organization, adaptability, and problem solving
Use production planning, technical assessment, and client communication skills to keep rental and repertory work supported.
