Use construction accounting expertise as a Project Controller with Valard Construction in Calgary, Markham, or Port Hawkesbury. Support budgets, reporting, and project controls.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Performance, this experienced skilled partners with divisional and project leadership. The position oversees project finances across a portfolio, supporting forecasting, month-end processes, and financial lifecycle reporting. Occasional travel across Canada may reach 10 percent.

Key Responsibilities:
Review contracts, obligations, budgets, estimates, and work breakdown structures
Provide financial oversight and guidance to Project Managers
Lead purchase order reviews, accrual meetings, and job cost meetings
Analyze indirect costs, forecasts, margins, and project risks




Prepare productivity reports, review packages, and cash position reports

Requirements:
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field
Five years of progressive construction accounting experience
Expertise with job costing, WIP reporting, and project analytics
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system experience
Understanding of construction revenue recognition principles
