AbbVie seeks Legal Counsel in Montreal with commercial legal advice, pharmaceutical compliance knowledge, and advanced French and English proficiency. The position is based in Montreal.
This experienced Legal Counsel reports to AbbVie Canada’s Head of Legal. You will support core businesses and enterprise-wide initiatives through strategic advice, risk-based solutions, and practical guidance across complex Canadian matters and global projects.
Key Responsibilities: Advise Marketing, Medical Affairs, Trade, and Market Access teams
Guide promotion, patient support, payer access, and collaborations
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and corporate agreements
Resolve complex legal matters independently using sound risk perspectives
Direct outside counsel and manage project objectives and budgets
Requirements: Law degree from a recognized university
Canadian license to practice law, preferably in Quebec
Three to five years of relevant legal experience
Experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries preferred
Advanced oral and written French and English proficiency
Support AbbVie’s Canadian business with commercial counsel, regulatory judgment, agreement negotiation, and bilingual stakeholder communication.
