Manage building mechanical engineering resources in Edmonton while delivering complex HVAC systems and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a senior engineering leader who combines technical expertise with people management. You will guide staff development, project planning, design quality, and stakeholder coordination. The work requires strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, codes, ASHRAE standards, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct performance reviews and support employee career development
Delegate work to engineering and production support staff
Serve as technical design expert on assigned projects
Resolve technical challenges with manufacturers and contractors




Participate in quality control and project peer reviews
Requirements: Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and managing engineering teams
Solid knowledge of HVAC and building mechanical systems
Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, energy, and building codes
Excellent written, verbal, client-facing, and interpersonal communication skills
Previous technical or engineering management leadership experience preferred
Use mechanical engineering management, code knowledge, and communication skills to support Stantec’s Edmonton Buildings projects.
