Shape Environmental Assessments and technical reports with GHD’s Western Canadian environmental professionals. This position is based in Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton.
GHD is seeking a Senior Ecologist to provide strategic and technical guidance to private and public clients. You will lead Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, management plans, monitoring programs, and field investigations. The work also includes regulatory navigation, proposal development, approvals, reporting, and mentoring intermediate and junior staff. Your experience will support multiple projects across Western Canada and diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments
Develop management plans, monitoring programs, and technical reports
Prepare proposals, permits, authorizations,



and offsetting approvals
Guide data management and reporting for junior staff
Coordinate timely delivery of multiple projects
Requirements: Minimum 10 years of consulting ecology experience required
Experience supporting provincial and federal Environmental Assessments
R.P.Biol. and/or P.Biol. designation required
Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or related field
Understanding of British Columbia and Alberta regulatory requirements
Use assessment leadership, regulatory understanding, and reporting expertise to advance GHD projects throughout Western Canada.
