Prepare specialized equipment and procedure rooms for Oak Valley Health's Operating Room while maintaining sterile standards. This position serves patients through organized, patient-centred hospital care.
The Surgical Systems Technician supports procedures and collaborates with all members of the inter-professional team. Daily work includes handling sterile supplies, managing case carts, and assisting with room turnover between cases. Candidates should demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication, and robust prioritization skills.
Key Responsibilities: Assemble specialized equipment and supplies for procedures
Assist staff with procedure room preparation between cases
Disassemble equipment after procedures
Handle sterile and high-level disinfected supplies and equipment




Follow standards for work within a sterile environment
Requirements: Graduate of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing program
Recent MDRD experience is an asset
Demonstrated surgical instrumentation and sterile technique knowledge
Ability to work collaboratively within an inter-professional team
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision across rotating shifts
Use surgical instrumentation knowledge, sterile technique, and teamwork to support safe procedure preparation at Oak Valley Health.
