Prairieview Surgical Centre, a Clearpoint Health Network division, is hiring a casual MDR technician. The position supports surgical suite operations through device cleaning, testing, packaging, sterilization, and storage. You will collaborate with healthcare team members, protect confidential information, and report equipment or quality assurance concerns.
Key Responsibilities: Disassemble, clean, assemble, and function test reusable devices
Package, sterilize, and store surgical equipment and supplies
Perform biological and chemical indicator quality assurance testing
Follow infection control and controlled substances procedures
Support new staff orientation and required education
Requirements: Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing program
Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
Recent MDR workplace experience considered an asset
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move equipment
Ability to work around chemicals and bio-hazardous materials
