Serve London Public Library patrons onsite as a Casual Library Assistant, using technology and customer service skills across 16 locations.
This casual, as-needed position supports Public Services through patron assistance, information services, and lending services. You will communicate with customers, provide technology support, and offer reference, referral, and readers’ advisory services. The role requires availability across London Public Library locations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service to library patrons
Assist patrons with technology and digital collections
Deliver information, reference, and referral services
Provide readers’ advisory services to library users
Assist patrons with lending services
Requirements: Two years of post-secondary education
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Technology experience with software, scanners, and databases
Ability to work independently and within a team
On-call availability, including days, evenings, and Saturdays
Bring customer service, technology assistance, and information skills to London Public Library’s casual Public Services team.
