Maintain industrial electrical systems at Ash Grove Cement using PLC troubleshooting, instrumentation, and motor controls. Work a 12-hour continental shift in Oakville/Mississauga.
Reporting to the Electrical Manager, this Electrician supports plant equipment through maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and component replacement. The position requires electrical expertise across PLCs, instrumentation, motors, relays, transformers, and manufacturing operations. You will support production operators while following plant, CRH, and OHSA safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep plant electrical equipment operating efficiently
Repair and troubleshoot faulty electrical equipment
Install and replace electrical equipment and wiring
Inspect assigned equipment and complete accurate reports
Report deficiencies and follow plant safety guidelines
Requirements:
Valid 309A or 442A Electrical Certificate of Qualification
Proof of apprenticeship and valid driver’s licence
Working knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, motors, and transformers
Ability to read schematics and construction wire drawings
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and platforms
Apply electrical maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and motor control expertise to support Ash Grove Cement plant operations safely.
