Manage History Ottawa lighting systems with console expertise, technical judgment, and tour integration skills. This part-time position supports Live Nation productions in Ottawa.
As Head Lighting, you will ensure incoming shows are implemented seamlessly within History Ottawa’s systems. The work includes operator-level control, equipment interfacing, system tuning, inventory accuracy, and maintenance planning. You may also assist with load-ins, load-outs, corporate events, and other production support duties.
Key Responsibilities: Interface incoming tour equipment with venue lighting systems
Control lighting systems at operator level
Assist Technical Directors with show-day operations
Track equipment inventory by production




Communicate equipment status and repair requirements promptly
Requirements: Three years advanced lighting operation or technical production diploma
Two or more years tour or stage production experience
Knowledge of DMX, sACN, ArtNet, and Layer-2 networking
Understanding of three-phase power, power factor, and system load
Solid interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Use lighting systems knowledge, technical coordination, and decisive communication to support touring productions at History Ottawa.
