The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education seeks a Regional Term Educational Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. Based at Port Williams Elementary School, you will work at New Minas Elementary School as required, supporting students identified through program planning. Duties include medical and personal care, safety support, supervision, transportation, and positive rapport.
Key Responsibilities: Assist students with lifting, positioning, mobility, and routines
Operate lifts and assistive technology as required
Administer medication and authorized medical procedures




Implement identified behaviour management supports and record observations
Supervise students during breaks, transitions, and designated areas
Requirements: Human Services diploma or equivalent related training and experience
Current CPR and First Aid training
Required health-care support training or certification
Ability to perform physical requirements, including lifting and positioning
Applicable occupational requirements, such as ASL or Braille
Bring student support, personal care, and behaviour management capabilities to schools served by AVRCE in the Annapolis Valley.
