This head-office role focuses on Commercial Lines, Mid Market underwriting under minimal supervision. You will assess high premium volume business, collaborate with sales, and provide expertise to policyholders. The position requires property and casualty experience, careful analysis, and skilled communication.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze risks using technology and external data sources
Quote, negotiate, and authorize accepted risks
Determine policy renewal eligibility using company guidelines
Arrange reinsurance or subscribing companies when appropriate
Mentor team members and support business change
Requirements: Five years of Property and Casualty industry experience
Post-secondary education or related business experience
Completed or pursuing a Property and Casualty designation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
