This full time Assistant Head Nurse supports Unit 3C Older Adult Psychiatry and Rehabilitation within a 22-bed unit. The position provides clinical leadership for patients experiencing mood disorders, thought disorders, and dementia. You will coordinate interdisciplinary care, patient flow, admissions, and discharge planning while supporting safe, patient- and family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities: Create staff assignments and manage waitlists using admission criteria
Triage referrals, arrange admissions, and support patient flow
Lead Rapid Rounds, team conferences, and family conferences
Coordinate discharge planning, referrals,



and interfacility transportation
Provide frontline nursing care and support therapeutic groups
Requirements: Accredited nursing education program completion
Active or eligible CRNA registration and practice permit
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Provider
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and rehabilitation nursing experience
Mental health experience with older adults and strong assessment skills
Bring clinical leadership, mental health triage, and rehabilitation nursing experience to Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital's older adult psychiatry unit.
