Buffalo Trail Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant at Provost Public School in Provost, Alberta.

- End date: To be determined
- Schedule: 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, following the school calendar
- Type: Temporary, full time

Responsibilities

- Provide educational support, prepare and adapt learning materials, and monitor student progress.
- Support students' academic, social, behavioural, and life skills, including transitions and use of specialized supports.
- Assist with personal care, including feeding, hygiene, and toileting.
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams,



share relevant student information, and contribute to meetings as appropriate.
- Administer medication as required and follow health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

- A diploma in a Childhood or Educational Assistant program is preferred.
- Experience supporting people with special needs is desired.
- Familiarity with language delays, behavioural challenges, emotional dysregulation, and fine or gross motor delays is beneficial.
- SIVA or other non-violent crisis intervention training is an asset.
