Lead theatre production in Calgary with Ambrose Arts, applying project management and technical direction across university events and productions.
The Head of Production is a team-oriented, supervisory position supporting Ambrose Arts and the Office of Advancement. The work spans production scheduling, budgets, personnel management, technical solutions, and communication among artistic, administrative, academic, and production staff. Mentoring aspiring student artists is also central.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and monitor production personnel and expense budgets
Schedule rehearsals, performances, construction, technical weeks, and load-outs
Manage designers, stage managers, crews, technicians, and contractors
Coordinate technical requirements across set, lighting, costume, sound,



and media
Solve technical problems during events and performances
Requirements: Project management experience in a supervisory role
Experience creating and managing budgets
Experience with Canadian Theatre Agreement and Associated Designers of Canada
Degree in Technical Theatre or equivalent training and experience
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
Apply technical theatre leadership, production planning, budgeting, and crew supervision to Ambrose Arts productions and campus events.
