Support medication preparation at Carewest’s Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre in Calgary using pharmacy equipment, order processing, and inventory control.
Reporting to the Program Director, Pharmacy Services, this casual Pharmacy Assistant position supports routine pharmacy duties. You will prepare client-specific medications, process orders, and help administer pharmacy services in a customer service-focused environment. The position works day shifts at Pharmacy BW.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare client-specific medications using pharmacy equipment efficiently
Process pharmacy orders accurately and efficiently
Support administration of pharmacy services
Maintain inventory control and related records
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements: Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
Basic MS Office and FileMaker computer skills required
Long-term or acute care hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Community pharmacy experience may be considered
Ability to provide customer service in pharmacy operations
Bring pharmacy preparation, order processing, computer skills, and inventory experience to Carewest’s Calgary healthcare workplace.
