Support a recent manufacturing facility as Senior General Accountant with Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada in Port Colborne, working fully in person.
This position reports to the Director of Finance and supports the start-up of a lithium battery separator manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include month-end and year-end close, journal entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance investigation. The accountant also supports payables, receivables, intercompany transactions, tax reporting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly close schedules, financial statements, and support schedules
Analyze revenues, commissions, expenses, and financial statement variances
Process intercompany billing and foreign exchange calculations
Support accounts receivable reporting,



collections, and payables
Maintain accurate transactions and audit-ready accounting records
Requirements: Five-plus years handling general ledger and month-end close
Experience with accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Working knowledge of ERP and statutory accounting systems
Bring disciplined close management, financial analysis, and accounting systems knowledge to Asahi Kasei’s manufacturing start-up.
