The Equipment Operator supports daily recycling plant operations under the Plant Manager’s direction. Duties include forklift operation, shipping and receiving, equipment inspections, and communication with Supervisors and Management. This work contributes to waste diversion and the circular economy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently as directed
- Move bins and bales throughout plant operations
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities
- Complete daily equipment inspections and documentation
- Communicate concerns or suggestions to Supervisors and Management
Requirements:
- Certified and trained to operate a forklift
- Waste and recycling industry experience is an asset
- Ability to perform the position’s physical requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Availability for overtime work
