Support single-session counselling through CBT, ACT, or DBT-informed practice with Calgary Foothills PCN in northwest Calgary and Cochrane. This temporary position is 0.80 FTE.
As Mental Health Consultant, you will support the One-Step-at-a-Time Counselling Service for adults, couples, and families. The patient-focused program addresses mental health challenges, emotional distress, difficult circumstances, and interpersonal conflicts. You will provide counselling, crisis intervention, and coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide individual, couple, family, and group counselling appointments
Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions
Coach patients in self-management and healthy lifestyle behaviours
Connect patients with PCN, community,



and health system resources
Maintain communication with Medical Home and circle of care
Requirements: Master's degree and active professional registration
Registered social worker or psychologist qualification
Experience with trauma-informed care
Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle access
Bring counselling, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and cooperative communication to Calgary Foothills PCN patients.
