This Marine Outboard Mechanic repairs and maintains boat engines and related marine systems. The work includes fuel systems, cooling systems, ignition systems, and performance testing. You will install and rig new outboards, follow manufacturer procedures, and document completed repairs.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
Perform oil changes, tune-ups, and lower unit service
Replace impellers and repair engine components
Install and rig outboard motors and accessories
Test engine performance and inspect safe operation
Requirements: Experience with Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, or Suzuki outboards
Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of marine electrical and fuel systems
Ability to read service manuals and wiring diagrams
Marine certification or equivalent experience preferred
Apply mechanical, diagnostic, and marine systems expertise to repair outboard engines and support secure vessel operation.
