Provide emergency nursing care at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, using critical thinking and rapid patient assessment. This is a part time temporary position.
Health PEI seeks a Registered Nurse for Specialty Inpatient / Outpatient Services in the Emergency Department. The RN supports individuals requiring emergency services and collaborates with physicians, allied health, EMS, mental health, and police services. The position involves rotating shifts and continues until August 2027.
Key Responsibilities: Assess patients and continuously analyze monitoring and diagnostic data
Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs
Develop care plans with patients and their families




Coordinate nursing and multidisciplinary teams caring for assigned patients
Requirements: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma with extensive experience
Some nursing experience, including one to three years
Active or eligible Prince Edward Island nursing registration
Obtain and maintain clinical specialty education and certifications
Maintain competence in clinical skills and emergency nursing practice
Apply emergency assessment, critical thinking, medication administration, and collaborative care skills as a Registered Nurse at Health PEI.
