Autodesk gives you the power to make anything. If you've ever driven a up-to-date car, admired a towering skyscraper, used a smartphone, or watched a great film, chances are you've experienced something amazing that was made with Autodesk software. Our Product Managers have unyielding passion when it comes to shaping the future of design and manufacturing. We act as the critical connection between customer needs and business strategy, solution design, software development, and go-to-market execution.

Autodesk Fusion brings design, manufacturing, electronics, and data together in one cloud-based workspace so teams can access, trust, and act on their data without switching tools. We build multi-persona applications that serve everyone from an individual designer to a CAM operator, and we're extending those experiences to work concurrently for both humans and AI agents. As a product management intern on this team, you will be paired with a Principal Product Manager mentor and given real ownership over a piece of that problem: talking to customers, digging into product analytics, and shaping how the next generation of data experiences get specified and built.

We're looking for someone who has designed or engineered hardware, who understands how a design decision ripples into manufacturing, and who is curious about how AI is changing what a product manager's job looks like. This internship is designed to stretch you: you'll practice the fundamentals of product management alongside the emerging AI skills that will define how the next generation of PMs operate.

Responsibilities

- Harvest new insights from support, customer engagements, sales opportunities, product analytics data, market research, and other sources

- Ideate on new concepts and opportunities to address emerging and future customer needs across PLM, PDM, design, and manufacturing
- Frame problems in terms of user needs and workflows rigorously using data and customer input to pressure-test a direction
- Collaborate with Software Engineers and Experience Designers to develop, spec, and iterate on solutions
- Write clear, testable requirements, including for AI-assisted or AI-powered features, that account for edge cases and how success will be measured
- Contribute to internal communications to keep stakeholders informed of changes in priorities and progress
- Contribute to complex business discussions, prioritization decisions, and other critical decision-making processes
- Use AI tools directly in your own workflow (research synthesis, drafting, analysis) and share practical techniques with the team

Minimum Qualifications

- Currently pursuing an MBA, with an undergraduate or prior professional background in engineering, product design, or manufacturing (mechatronics, mechanical, industrial, or a similar cross-disciplinary field strongly preferred)
- Within 1 year of MBA completion, with clear interest in a Product Management career path
- Prior hands-on experience with physical product design, manufacturing processes, or engineering, giving you real intuition for how digital tools affect real-world making,

with experience in Product Lifecycle Management a plus
- Experience making decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team
- High energy, with a positive outlook and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excited to work closely with customers, engineers, designers, and cross-disciplinary partners
- Genuine curiosity about how AI is changing product work, with some experience using AI tools (for research, prototyping, coding, or writing) in a work or academic context

What Will Set You Apart

- Broad exposure across multiple industries or engineering disciplines (a mechatronics degree or equivalent cross-domain background is a strong plus), giving you range beyond a single vertical
- Strengths in systems thinking, including the ability to understand complex interdependencies, synthesize cross-functional inputs, and develop holistic solutions.
- Experience building or contributing to an AI-powered feature, agent, or automation, even informally
- Comfort defining what "success" looks like for a feature in measurable terms before work begins, rather than defaulting to just shipping
- An instinct for catching a technical, workflow, design, or a responsible-AI concern, before it reaches customers

The 2027 Canada Internship program runs for 16 weeks (January 4th – April 23rd). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and career development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flex
