The Assistant Technical Director supports the Director of Production and Technical Director. The position helps deliver production values for Citadel productions and rental events. Work spans design, construction, technical servicing, staffing, and protected facility operations.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate activities related to Citadel Theatre productions
Research, cost, and purchase materials and equipment
Arrange technical support for rental events
Oversee get-ins, fit-ups, installations, and strikes
Ensure compliance with safety requirements and policies
Requirements: Extensive technical experience in a theatre setting
Post-secondary technical theatre training or equivalent experience
Knowledge of production techniques and theatre equipment
Working knowledge of CAD, Vectorworks, Excel, and First Aid
Availability for evenings and weekends
Bring organized technical leadership, theatre equipment knowledge, and production coordination skills to The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton.
