This full-time Director of Care position reports to the Administrator at a 160-bed long-term care facility. The role manages nursing care delivery, establishes departmental goals, and maintains standards within legislative and budgetary requirements. Experience in registered nursing, management, supervision, and long-term care supports success.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and supervise Nursing Department activities
Establish nursing goals, policies, and procedures
Maintain resident and personnel records, reports, and statistics
Consult families, residents, officials, resources, and professionals




Assume facility responsibility when the Administrator is absent
Requirements: Registered Nurse qualification required
College of Nurses of Ontario membership or eligibility
At least one year of long-term care nursing experience
At least three years’ managerial or supervisory nursing experience
Robust leadership, communication, and human relations skills
Direct nursing operations and resident care at Chippawa Creek with leadership, regulatory knowledge, and long-term care experience.
