As Mechanical Design Team Lead, you supervise mechanical engineers and CAD designers within OSI’s Hardware Engineering department. You plan work, direct technical output, and develop team members while remaining hands-on in design and review. Your work supports compliant, manufacturable, reliable, and maintainable designs.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise mechanical engineers and CAD designers
Plan, estimate, assign, and schedule team work
Review designs, models, drawings, and GD&T;
Resolve or escalate technical and schedule risks
Mentor staff and support performance development
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Seven-plus years of mechanical design experience
Two-plus years leading teams or serving as technical lead
Advanced SolidWorks and GD&T; knowledge
NATO Secret clearance eligibility and controlled goods access
Apply mechanical design leadership, SolidWorks expertise, and GD&T; knowledge to OSI’s marine hardware engineering work.
