Deliver evidence-based nursing care in Health PEI’s Operating Room at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, using critical thinking and specialty skills.

This full time, permanent Registered Nurse position supports specialty inpatient and outpatient services. You will coordinate safe, quality care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role requires therapeutic communication, patient advocacy, clinical technology, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess patients using monitoring, diagnostic testing, and comprehensive clinical data
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs
- Develop individualized care plans with patients and families
- Respond to emergent situations using nursing standards and protocols




- Coordinate nursing and multidisciplinary care for assigned patients

Requirements:

- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma with extensive experience
- Some nursing experience, preferably one to three years
- Active or eligible Prince Edward Island nursing registration
- Maintain education in relevant clinical specialty certifications
- Recent Operating Room experience and Peri Op Course considered assets
