Build AI-native developer platforms at CircleCI using Go, agentic tooling, and production backend engineering. This role is open across Europe and the Eastern time zone.
As a Staff Software Engineer in Delivery Engineering, you will shape how CircleCI builds software with AI agents. You will evaluate coding agents, agent harnesses, MCP, repository patterns, and shared tooling. The work spans agentic software development lifecycle design, platform adoption, measurement, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Define CircleCI’s end-to-end agentic software development lifecycle
Build and support shared developer tooling platforms
Understand engineering workflows and guide adopted solutions
Measure agent usage, outcomes, cost, and reliability




Evaluate models, vendors, and open-source tools
Requirements: Direct experience driving agentic developer experience initiatives
Hands-on experience with coding agents, MCP, and prompt design
Internal platform or developer tooling adoption experience
Production backend service ownership in Go
Eight or more years of production engineering experience
Apply staff-level Go backend expertise, platform thinking, and agentic tooling depth to CircleCI’s developer experience.
