The Interim Technical Director oversees technical elements for Vertigo Mystery Theatre productions. Working within the Production Department, this position supervises technicians, coordinates installations, supports set construction, maintains safety policies, and contributes to facility planning. The role reports to the Interim Production and Facility Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise technical crews, load-ins, setups, rehearsals, performances, and strikes
Realize lighting, sound, set, and props designs safely
Create Vectorworks drawings for set and prop construction
Oversee special effects, equipment,



rigging, and venue maintenance
Maintain production drawings, inventories, schedules, and technical systems
Requirements: Proven technical theatre installation and production experience
Superior interpersonal, project management, and supervisory skills
Technical drawing and lighting, sound, recording, and effects skills
Ability to track budgets and assess design feasibility
Valid driver's license
Bring technical leadership, safety oversight, and production coordination to Vertigo Theatre's Mystery Theatre Series in Calgary.
