This full-time Director of Care position reports to the Administrator at a 160-bed long-term care facility. The role manages nursing care delivery, establishes departmental goals, and maintains standards within legislative and budgetary requirements. Experience in registered nursing, management, supervision, and long-term care supports success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and supervise Nursing Department activities
- Establish nursing goals, policies, and procedures
- Maintain resident and personnel records, reports, and statistics
- Consult families, residents, officials, resources, and professionals




- Assume facility responsibility when the Administrator is absent

Requirements:

- Registered Nurse qualification required
- College of Nurses of Ontario membership or eligibility
- At least one year of long-term care nursing experience
- At least three years’ managerial or supervisory nursing experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and human relations skills
