The Opportunity
Epitec is seeking a Payment Operations Analyst with banking, payments, or cash management experience to support USD and CAD clearing operations in Montreal.

This role is a strong fit for someone who understands payment operations, international wire transfers, SWIFT messaging, and client support within a fast-paced banking environment. You’ll investigate payment issues, analyze transaction and reporting data, monitor service levels, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver an excellent client experience.

What You’ll Do

Serve as a key point of contact for issues related to USD and CAD clearing operations

Investigate payment and transaction issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution

Support day-to-day relationships with clearing clients at the account level

Monitor client activity, funding, credit, and transaction limits

Review and analyze wire transfer activity, SWIFT messages, and operational reports

Track KPIs, SLAs, turnaround times, and processing performance

Identify opportunities to improve straight-through processing and operational efficiency

Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and provide actionable insights

Prepare and support monthly and quarterly dashboards and management reporting

Help maintain control processes related to billing, risk, and client-level reporting





Partner with stakeholders and development teams to improve reporting capabilities

Recommend process and procedural improvements that enhance the client experience

Escalate service-level issues when appropriate

Contribute to operational controls and risk-management activities

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of banking experience, ideally within correspondent banking, payment operations, cash management, or USD clearing

Knowledge of international wire transfers, SWIFT, and local clearing systems

Understanding of funds transfer operations and applicable rules and regulations

Experience with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to investigate complex issues and work toward resolution

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced setting

Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

Strong customer-service mindset, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills

Professional working proficiency in English required; some assignments may require professional proficiency in both English and French
