Provide medical assistance and personal care as a Casual Educational Assistant in Edmonton Catholic Schools. Support students with severe physical disabilities throughout school days.
This casual position serves day-to-day assignments across district schools and sites. You will support individual students while assisting teachers and multidisciplinary teams. The work includes medical care, classroom participation, safety monitoring, and support for social development and independence.
Key Responsibilities: Provide ongoing personal, physical, and medical assistance
Administer medications and assist with G-tube feeding
Monitor students and intervene during unsafe behaviours
Support classroom programs addressing individual student needs
Ensure materials support classwork and activities
Requirements: Related post-secondary diploma and three years’ experience
First Aid and CPR certification
Knowledge of medication administration and medical conditions
Knowledge of lifting, transferring, and positioning techniques
Ability to travel throughout Edmonton
Bring medical skills, physical support, and attentive supervision to students through Edmonton Catholic Schools’ casual assignments.
