Support student learning as a Temporary Educational Assistant at Schumacher Public School, providing classroom assistance tailored to individual needs. This is a full time position.
Educational Assistants support students’ academic, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs. You will help students access the curriculum and work toward their full potential in integrated and high support settings. The assignment is temporary until March 12, 2027, or the absent employee’s return.
Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support based on individual student needs
Support academic, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs
Help students access the curriculum
Support students in integrated and high support settings
Requirements: Post-secondary education in Educational Assistant or related field
Early Childhood Education or Developmental Services Worker education accepted
Equivalent qualifications may be considered
Experience with students needing special education support
School setting experience preferred
Bring student support experience and relevant education to Schumacher Public School as a Temporary Educational Assistant serving diverse needs.
