Provide resident care with AgeCare as a Health Care Aide, using safe transfer techniques and personal care skills. Support residents under Staff Nurse supervision.
This Health Care Aide works within the care team to meet individual resident needs. You will provide basic care and services while following care plans, water temperature procedures, and appropriate controls. The work includes mobility support, meals, treatments, and resident activities.
Key Responsibilities: Bath, shower, and wash residents according to care procedures
Assist transfers using lifts, transfer belts, and protective controls
Feed residents and follow each resident's prescribed diet
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Escort residents to meals, therapy, recreation, and social functions
Requirements: Recognized Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate
Active registration with CLHA
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
One year of continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education is an asset
