Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor Therapist to join our energetic team. The Instructor Therapist will work directly with children in our IBI programs, implementing individualized behaviour intervention plans, and supporting each child’s development through positive reinforcement and tailored instructional methods. Please note this is an Independent Contractor Position.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement Behavioural Programs: Deliver individualized behaviour intervention plans based on each child’s unique needs and goals.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Monitor and record progress, behaviours, and responses, and analyze data to inform ongoing interventions.
- Family Collaboration: Work closely with families to provide updates, address concerns, and incorporate feedback into the intervention process.
- Skill Development: Focus on developing key skills such as communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
- Behaviour Management: Apply effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours and reinforce positive behaviours.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other therapists, educators, and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development.

Qualifications:

Education:
Applicants must possess either a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology,



Education, CYW, ECE, DSW diploma, Autism and Behavioural Science. Or degree/diploma in related field, specific to working with children and youth.

Experience:
Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disorders is highly desirable and considered an asset.

Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to implement behaviour intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed.
- Certifications: (1) CPR/First Aid certification (2) Vulnerable Sector Check valid within the last year (3) Crisis Intervention Prevention and (4) Personal Liability Insurance is required. Specific behavioural therapy certifications or training are a plus.
