We are currently seeking a Payroll Clerk who is reliable, organized and works well both independently and as a team with minimal supervision. Based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Taranis has built a solid reputation by providing industry-leading performance to clients in a variety of sectors. Employment Details This is a full-time position with a start date as soon as possible. Responsibilities
· Processing payroll in an accurate and timely manner
· Preparation of source deductions, Employer Health Tax remittances, WSIB premium calculations and union-related remittances
· Preparation of Records of Employment, T4’s and other documents
· Maintaining and updating confidential employee personnel files
· Assisting supervisors and management with payroll related matters
· Tracking of employee vacation requests and other absences
· Periodic account reconciliations for payroll related accounts




· Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
· Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
· Experience and/or education related to payroll, human resources or accounting is considered an asset
· Excellent communicator
· Friendly and professional
