The Opportunity: The Building Attendant is primarily responsible for assigned heavy cleaning duties in accordance with established work schedules, policies and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesCompletes ad-hoc and routine heavy cleaning duties in public areas as assigned including, but not limited to duties involving dusting, vacuuming, mopping, extracting, floor stripping / polishing and disinfectingPerforms project work as required for renovations and repairs and/or event preparationOperates housekeeping equipment and implements as requiredMaintains equipment by following proper operating instructions, proper cleaning instructions and storing properlyMaintains appropriate inventory of resident supplies, public area supplies and replenishment of position specific suppliesUtilizes procedures as trained in compliance with IP&C;, WHMIS, and Workplace Health & SafetyOther duties as requested by the supervisorQualificationsMinimum 2-3 years relevant experience in a janitorial/housekeeping role within medium or large healthcare organization is considered an assetExperience with industrial vacuum, scrubber, floor polisher,
