As Senior Manager, Facility Services, you will oversee services supporting approximately 50,000 students, 8,800 staff members, schools, and administrative buildings. Your work connects the Multi-Year Strategic Plan with accommodation, renewal, maintenance, and facility operations. Success requires robust governance relationships, critical thinking, and customer-focused service delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Align facilities investments and operations with strategic priorities
Ensure accessible, barrier-free learning and working environments
Coordinate emergency preparedness, continuity, and infrastructure response




Lead multidisciplinary Facility Services managers and coordinators
Prepare reports for senior leaders, trustees, and the public
Requirements: Ten years’ progressively responsible facilities management experience
Experience supervising professional, technical, and operational staff
Strategic planning, change management, and collaborative leadership skills
Effective communication, relationship-building, and conflict management skills
Ability to navigate school board governance environments
Use governance expertise, inclusive facilities leadership, and clear communication to support HWDSB’s students, staff, and communities.
