Provide patient care as a Registered Practical Nurse in a regular, part-time position supporting RVH’s Medicine Inpatient Unit. Use nursing judgment daily.
At Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, the RPN assesses, plans, coordinates, and manages care for patients and families. You will work with an interdisciplinary team while following hospital policies, department procedures, CNO standards, and relevant legislation. The position requires independent practice within scope and professional accountability.
Key Responsibilities: Provide quality patient care within RVH’s delivery model
Assess patients and families’ care needs
Plan and coordinate interdisciplinary patient care
Manage care according to department policies
Practice independently within the defined scope
Requirements: Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent education
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Sound nursing process and skilled responsibility knowledge
Computer literacy with current software applications
Bring accountable nursing practice, patient assessment, and care coordination skills to RVH’s Medicine Inpatient Unit as an RPN.
