Support Transportation Operations through dispatch, customer service, and administrative coordination at the Regional Operations Centre in Waterloo Region.
The Region of Waterloo seeks a full time Operations Assistant for its Transportation Services division. You will provide dispatch response, frontline reception, and administrative support while documenting service requests, coordinating communications, and maintaining operational records. The on-site schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Key Responsibilities: Dispatch staff for traffic signal and traffic sign maintenance
Relay messages between field staff and external contacts
Process customer requests through Lagan and Hansen
Coordinate Ontario One Call utility locate requests




Document winter operations activities and overtime responses
Requirements: Grade 12 education plus three years of related experience
Working knowledge of two-way radio systems and dispatch setups
Knowledge of the Regional road network and divisional services
Computer skills with MS Office, Hansen, Lagan, and GIS
Ability to travel within Waterloo Region
Bring dispatch, database, communication, and problem-solving skills to Transportation Services at the Region of Waterloo.
