Job Overview The Heavy Duty Mechanic supports reliable equipment operation through inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role applies mechanical and electrical knowledge in manufacturing and industrial maintenance settings, using schematics and maintenance systems to help keep equipment safe and productive. Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty equipment and related mechanical systems.
- Use schematics and analysis skills to identify faults, complete maintenance work, and document service activity in a CMMS.
- Support work involving electrical systems, low voltage, HVAC, boilers, welding, and programmable logic controllers, coordinating with industrial electricians when appropriate.
- Communicate clearly in English and provide responsive customer service to colleagues requesting maintenance support.



Experience Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, maintenance capability, and the ability to interpret schematics and communicate clearly in English are significant for completing repairs and documenting work. Preferred: Industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience, including industrial electrician or other electrical experience, plus familiarity with CMMS, programmable logic controllers, HVAC, welding, boilers, low voltage, customer service, and analysis.
