Job Description
CREM Canada is looking for a reliable, experienced, and hands-on Site Superintendent for a commercial construction and demolition project in Kitchener, Ontario. We need someone who can supervise site activities while actively performing construction and demolition work alongside the crew. This is a working position, not a desk-based management role. The ideal candidate has practical carpentry skills, strong power-tool experience, and a background in demolition. You must be comfortable using tools, removing materials, handling debris, loading waste bins, and helping coordinate daily site activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on demolition, carpentry, and general construction work.
- Safely operate power tools, including drills, impact drivers, reciprocating saws, and circular saws.
- Remove designated walls, partitions, fixtures, and other materials as required by the project scope.
- Lift, move, sort, and load construction debris into designated waste bins.
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
- Coordinate daily tasks and help direct workers on-site.
- Organize tools, materials, and equipment to maintain an effective worksite.
- Monitor work progress and communicate site requirements to project management.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow construction safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Required Qualifications
- Intermediate carpentry and general construction skills.




- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on power-tool experience.
- Minimum 1 year of demolition experience.
- Practical experience with construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying materials.
- Understanding of construction-site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ability to follow instructions, solve basic site problems, and work independently.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Willingness to perform physical work while supervising and coordinating site activities.
- Must be able to work on-site in Kitchener, Ontario. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Site Superintendent, Working Foreman, Lead Hand, or experienced construction worker.
- Experience in commercial construction, renovations, or demolition projects.
- Valid Working at Heights and WHMIS training certificates. Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who leads by example and is willing to get hands-on with the work.
