Job Summary Require 1-2 days/week (prefer Wednesdays). We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our optical team. The ideal candidate will assist patients in selecting eyewear, ensure accurate lens fitting, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products and excellent communication skills to support both retail and clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their prescription needs and personal style preferences
- Measure and verify the accuracy of prescriptions using optical equipment
- Fit, adjust, and repair eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort
- Educate patients on lens options, frame features, and proper eyewear maintenance
- Process orders efficiently using retail sales systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical retail space




- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery
- Manage inventory levels of frames, lenses, and accessories to meet patient demand
- Support retail sales efforts by providing knowledgeable product recommendations Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and optics
- Prior optical experience or retail sales background preferred
- Proven sales skills with the ability to educate customers and promote products effectively
- Experience in retail management or supervising staff is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, skilled demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and deliver exceptional customer service
