Roechling Industrial is an industrial plastics manufacturer located in Orangeville, ON. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blending/Batch Mixing Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating blending, mixing and recycling machinery to produce high-quality plastic or ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with manufacturing equipment, and a commitment to quality and safety. Duties
- Accurately weighing, measuring and verifying raw materials and ingredients using industrial scales, meters, ensuring precise adherence to the formulas and recipes.
- Set up, operate and monitor industrial mixing, blending, and compounding equipment, such as ribbon blenders and mixers.
- Meticulously follow detailed formulas and recipes, work order and SOP to ensure product consistency and traceability
- Load and introduce raw materials into mixers in the correct sequence, utilizing pumps, hoists, or manual transfer methods
- Monitor machine operations, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor manufacturing processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols
- Record production data,



including quantities produced and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
- Work with other team members to optimize production processes and improve product quality while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, machining, or related industrial environments
- Mechanical knowledge of plastic and or extrusion processes and equipment operation
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI and hand tools
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Forklift experience / license
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Vocational Diploma or equivalent experience, experience with manufacturing materials, machine capabilities, outputs and experience with equipment operation, programming, automation, sensors, analytics and control systems.
- Experience with production processes, and quality control standards
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
