As a Registered Practical Nurse, you provide care in accordance with professional nursing practice and required medical care. You collaborate with Registered Nurses and other health care team members. Your responsibilities include resident status communication, procedure input, and guidance for Personal Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Registered Nurses on unit policy implementation
Provide input into residence and unit procedures
Coordinate communication with physicians and care partners
Share resident status changes during shift reports
Ensure resident care needs are met with the team
Requirements: Sound background in geriatric nursing
Knowledge of rehabilitation or long-term care nursing
Knowledge of activation, nursing, and personnel administration
Understanding of College of Nurses practice standards
Current Ontario nursing certificate and good standing
Support geriatric residents through coordinated nursing care, transparent communication, and practical guidance for the care team.
