YWCA xwp̓ip̓q̓əyasəm Early Learning and Care Centre is located at Cindy Beedie Place and provides a dynamic 37-space child care catering to 12 toddlers and 25 preschool age children. Women will be able to access affordable, on-site child care while they pursue educational and employment programs. YWCA goal is to help build a safe community and connect families with wrap-around support including educational bursaries, legal advocacy and employment opportunities.What you'll be doing:Values diverse perspectives, is committed to reflective practice with children, and is eager to grow as both a learner and educatorEngaged in exploring the BC Early Learning FrameworkChild-centered care, including nurturing, responsive, and culturally sensitive careResponsive program planning, implementation, and evaluationPromotes an inclusive environmentMaintain a clean and safe environment: launder bibs and cloths, sanitize toys and equipment, and set up the physical space for daily activitiesFollow each child's individual daily schedule with consistency and careTrack, monitor and document each child's day, including:Daily routines, locations, and needsFood and liquid intakeHealth, emotional well-being, and developmental progressWriting daily updates, developmental observations, and progress notes for team members and familiesStrong communication and relationship-building with children, team members,
