Perform diagnostic laboratory testing at Prince County Hospital in Summerside as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, using specimen collection and analysis skills.
Health PEI seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist I for a full time temporary assignment through December 2027. You will support patient diagnosis and treatment through standard laboratory examinations, procedures, and computerized reporting. The position includes rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities: Provide test and specimen collection information to patients and healthcare professionals
Obtain venous and capillary blood samples using prescribed techniques
Process, analyze, and prepare specimens for laboratory procedures




Calibrate equipment using standard and control solutions
Forward test results to physicians or patient locations
Requirements: Complete a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist Program
Hold current CSMLS Registered Technologist registration
Be active or eligible for provincial professional licensing
Work independently and collaboratively with others
Maintain a good previous work and attendance record
Bring laboratory analysis, specimen collection, and quality control expertise to patient care at Health PEI’s Prince County Hospital.
